First Update
October 5, 2014
The primary meeting we discussed possible ideas for our final product. Three ideas that were mentioned were : (1) Crank (Transforming Mechanical to Electrical Energy) , (2) Alarm with solar sensor (powered by use of arduino kit), (3) Electric Solar Powered Car.
Second Update
In this video we narrowed our decision down to the idea in which we would like to pursue. We went with John's idea of developing a solar powered car.
Third Update
We discussed the materials needed to make our car. Three main components are : (1)vex car kit , (2) photocell , and (3) motor.
Final Update
This video shows our final product idea after our original idea of doing a solar poweered car failed. We instead decided to take a multimeter and measure the current and voltage across our solar panel circuit an have the kids make calculations to find resistance or vice versa.
Fourth Update
In this video, our group decided to change our idea into something else because all of our attemotsto make our solar powered car work failed.
